ABOUT

A professional writer since 1974. Yep, that long ... my first computer was an Osborn, which was the first-ever portable computer. My, how things have changed.

I gave away my white go-go boots, had two children (who are now in their 30s), started and ran three businesses, taught at 5 universities, and bought three different houses in two cities. I spent a year studying statistics and computer programming in Australia. I've worked in economic development with a Chamber of Commerce and in fundraising for a private K-12 school. I've toured dozens of manufacturing plants, universities and business parks, and I've organized a couple hundred or so special events, ranging from a private breakfast meeting for 4 to a block party for 3,000 people .

In all of this, I've written and produced magazines, newsletters, slide shows, video productions and television specials, news releases, media kits, white papers, grant applications, and a few hundred marketing letters. I even wrote the application for the winning Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. I've done public relations positioning programs for chambers of commerce, a concrete company, a chemical manufacturing consortium, and a city. Communicating with employees is one of my specialties.

If I tell you I can do it, I will. With great élan, grammar and spelling; within deadline, and budget.
